Post subject:  Toronto - Where to Resize Breitling Bracelet?

Just received my Navi World from Govberg (great place!). When I ordered, I overestimated my wrist size slightly, so it will have to be sized down a bit.

I took it in to Birks and they had no idea what model it was and told me that it would have to shipped out to their service location, at a cost of $35 for the shipping, plus labour, and that it would take upwawrds of two weeks. No thanks. I would've been willing to pay for the cost but two weeks for a simple resize seems unreasonable.

Went into Raffi Jewelers knowing that they did not carry Breitling, but thinking this would be a relatively simple procedure. They charged me $40 and said no problem, they could do it. Fifteen minutes later, they come back to tell me they didn't have the proper tools and had no idea how to do it.

What is a reputable place where I can get this resized? I can't wait to wear it!

Any Breitling AD with a watchmaker on site will have the tools - that's most LA Swiss. Depending on where you Re in Toronto you can also drop by the service centre on Hayden Street - just south of Bloor on the east side of Yonge.

A year ago I bought an Omega watch at a small DFS shop at Hong Kong airport and it took the sales girl behind the counter less than 5 min to adjust the bracelet for me with 2 spare links in the box and the watch with a perfect fit on my wrist and a perfect smile on my face.
If any serious AD is not capable of doing it, they should not be selling watches and they will definitely not get any $ from me.
I can understand that the AD may charge for the service if the watch was not purchased from them but saying that they have to send it off and it will take take two weeks!!!
Merry Christmas, happy new year, bye, bye.
