Post subject:  Pilot strap problem

Hi Guys,

I've had a problem with the clasp on my Pilot bracelet, one of the pins that connect the pieces together has come apart and I've lost one of the tiny links and the small pin, you can the remaining one in the picture.

I took the watch back to the Breitling Boutique (they sent it in the workshop in December for an estimate and valuation) and they tell me it will now cost me an extra £350 for a new clasp when I have it serviced!

I must admit to being slightly upset that it happened on about the 4th time I wore it after getting it back from them, so I begrudge paying them what will now be £722!

So does anybody have, or know where I can get one of the tiny pieces? I've had the bracelet fixed (it cost me a donation in the charity box at Timpson's!) without the pieces in and it looks fine, but now it's not perfect and it bothers me, although I must admit not £350 worth of bother!

Thanks in advance and keep up the good work.

Alan.

Well presumably Breitling believe that the clasp is damaged and that's why they want to replace it, so be careful that the strap doesn't break again. I would contactBreitling and point out that this occurred almost immediately after a service and you might find that they are willing to work with you. You can try a WTB in the sales section for the link piece but it's a real long shot.
