Post subject:  Breitling SOHC 44mm Bracelet questions

Hi all,

I have been searching all over the forums for weeks regarding my new aquired breitling sohc 44.

It came on a mesh strap which i knew i couldn't pull off from the start, so purchased a diver pro rubber strap.

I am extremely pleased with everything but i really want to get a ss bracelet for my watch.

I see on some of the forums saying that pro lll bracelet or the chronomat 44 bracelet might be able to fit.

Is there anyone here that might have more information regarding this matter?

Please help out a newbie :)

The non mesh bracelets all have curved end links designed to fit the case geometry of the model that they are for (spring bar location and case curve). It is highly unlikely that any other bracelet will fit properly - it may physically fit between the lugs, but will either not fit flush or will move up and down through the lugs and not sit properly on the wrist. The only way to be sure with any 24mm bracelet is to try, but definitely do that before buying.

The Chronomat 44 definitely won't fit because it's not even the right width (22mm vs. 24mm).

Good luck mate!

I just purchased a SOHC 44 and face the same dilemma. Actually, the pilot from the chronomat 44 may fit since the lugs on the SOHC 44 are 22mm. I may have to take a trip to the AD and have it sized. I will report back with my findings.

There's a lot more to it than simply lug width!

Correct, which is why I'm going to the AD before shelling out the funds and learning the hard way.

I think there are many of us wishing to see a couple of scans too... :)
Thanks and good luck, mate!

Not the SOHC but the TOC on Chrinimat 44 Pilot bracelet that may give some idea.
No, I do not wear it in this combination. It was just a case of "suck it and see."

I think it would look marvellous if the bracelet would also be polished. The SOHC would also gain from the Pilot. My 2 cents.

Looks great, how does it look on the wrist?

It may work better with the SOHC. For me the Pilot and TOC just did not work.
The bracelet is just too sporty for the TOC and it clashes for me hence I did not pursue it further to try with a polished Pilot.
I quite like the mesh which looks more delicate and suits the TOC better IMO.
