I wanted to buy a Pro III bracelet for my SA, but was told that it wouldn't fit.

Can anyone confirm this because I really like the new style bracelet.

End links are unique to each model. It might physically fit but wouldn't fit properly.

That's a damn shame!
Why would Breitling do this? I was told that the holes wouldn't line up.

I was wondering the same, and the obvious answer is less compatibility translates into more sales.

I have a Seawolf, and for a while was considering a Seawolf II... and it would have been great if I could have bought it on the Ocean Racer and also been able to wear it on my pro II. But as said I guess that's not an option.

To be fair, the bracelets are designed to be a tight tolerance to the case and that means different end links for all of the cases to make sure that the tolerance is maintained. While some bracelets will physically fit into the springbar holes the case and end link geometry means that they aren't a good fit. Breitling has started bringing in straight end links recently - like the mesh, but it's a very different look with the gap between case and bracelet.
