My lovely girlfriend got me the Heritage 2.1 watch winder by Wolf Designs for Valentine's Day. This is to compliment my recently purchased Navi World as well as my Tag Carerra.

After doing some research, I went to Orbita and both watches are 800 TPD and counter clockwise.

The Heritage 2.1 series is set at 900 TPD - you can select between clockwise, counter clock wise or bi directional, but the TPD are set at 900 - both of my watches seem to be counter clockwise too.

I am assuming this is not a problem and I cannot "over wind" the watch, correct? Even if the watch was 650 TPD, 900 TPD is ok?

Also, is there any benefit to exchanging/paying more for the Viceroy line that has programmable TPD so I can do 800 exactly but can also go up to 1200 TPD? After looking at the Orbita website, it was vast so didn't search much, but most brands of watches I like, in general, most were 650-800 TPD so I dont think I need the programmable one or the ability for more TPD?

And since the girlfriend spent time doing her own research, I'm leaning towards keeping the winder anyways (and her too!).

Thanks in advance!

You can't overwind an automatic so 900 TPD is not an issue.

The viceroy is a bit quieter than the Heritage, but both are great winders.

had the heritage just a foot or two from my bed last night on a nightstand and did not hear a peep. I will say standing right next to it you can hear a whisper coming from it, so I agree, not super silent, and the viceroy may be quieter in that area, but it at least will not keep you up at night for those who are wondering.

Something of a thread resurrection this, and the post-count suggests the OP might not be around, but (I've been researching Wolfs lately and saw this...) the TPD setting of the Wolf 2.1s is not 900 tpd but 600 tpd:
