This is a bit out of left field, but I wonder if anyone can help?

Sorting through the straps draw, I found a Pro II Bracelet link. I can't remember when or where I got it....possibly from a Seawolf or Steelfish, both of which I've owned previously.

Accordingly, I assumed it was a standard 'brushed steel' link.

Anyway, I compared it to a standard Polished steel Pro II link. Dimensions are the same. However, the 'brushed' version is considerably lighter than the polished version - 4.96 grams compared to 6.02 grams. It struck me that perhaps I had a Titanium link rather than a brushed steel link. I can't think why a brushed steel link would be 17% lighter than a polished steel version?

I've taken a few photos, but I doubt that they will be of much help - visually, brushed steel and Titanium are too similar. Would anyone have an idea of how to tell which type I've got? I guess the ideal solution would be if anyone out there could weigh their link, whichever type they may have? That would help point me in the right direction.

Hard to tell visually, but probably Ti due to weight difference.

Just weighed some 20mm Pro 2 links. Titanium around 3 grams. Polished Stainless Steel just over 5 grams. I had to weigh a few and average them out as the scales are not too accurate for small weights. So I reckon you have the SS link maybe with the sleeve insert missing ?

Steel for me, don't know specifically for 316L stainless, but generally Ti is about 56% of the weight of steel for a comparable size so yours is way too heavy.
