No I rubbed it in a circular motion....is that what caused this?

Of course I ran the pad in a straight line . I have only used the green pads, since I have owned this watch. I was going to go by an auto parts store to see if they had the extra fine pads (beige IIRC but I may be wrong).I actually think I made it a lot better - almost like it was before I caused this. I fixed it with the pad - but used much less pressure than I did before. Eventually it started to blend in a lot better.
So it's not perfect, and there are still some minor scratches on the lugs that I won't touch. But the end piece looks fine now.
I wear this watch a lot....I have a couple of G Shocks for when I goto the gym or am doing yardwork, but I wear the Steelfish a lot, and while I try to be careful it has been banged around a little more than I like. I guess scratches are inevitable and part of owning a watch. But I think I'm going to take it to either an AD or a good jewelry store and have it properly fixed. Then I will try to consciously be more careful of it.
