I tried on a breitling this weekend, but it was on a leather strap (new) which didn't fit comfortably. I like my watches to hug my wrist, but with the strap it was big and bulky (I only have small 7" wrists).

From experience how long does it take for the leather to soften up and fit more comfortably around your wrist?

Thanks.

A few weeks of wear will soften it up very nicely. Some people roll them to try and speed up the process but I would rather just wait for it to happen naturally.

That's good to know. Thank you.

Yeah. When I first started wearing my Chronomat with a leather strap, the stiffness of the band would even hold the watch head slightly away from my wrist. I have medium sized wrists. The band quickly molded to my wrist, and feels very comfortable now.

I would avoid rolling one. I have seen splits in the leather as a result.

Missed these replies, thanks.

Chris, I had the same with the Navi World, the watch is actually off my wrist because of it. Hopefully it will soften up quick as it's not that comfortable to wear, and having small 7" wrists it looks a bit silly.

I suffered like this with a Colt on leather (and with similar wrist size), gave up, and chopped it for an Aerospace, which being much lighter didn't drag around when the leather was new and stiff and pushing the watch proud. And I put my much heavier SO on rubber to avoid the stiff-leather-syndrome. But you'll get there. Having the strap wrapped around a watch pillow overnight, rather than leaving it lying flat, will help to keep it in a comfortable bent position.

Yeah I thought about either wearing it to bed with the strap but I like your suggestion better. I will give that a go.
