I feel stupid asking this but to my defense, I search the forum and found contradicting pictures. When mounting a croc strap, does the half with the deployment attached go on the upper of lower lugs? I first tried it on the top and found the strap to be uncomfortable. After finding pictures here of both ways, I tried it on the bottom lug. It now feels a lot more comfortable to wear. I'm just wondering if there is a proper way or do people just do what feels best. |

It 'should' mount so that the strap on the bottom of the watch is on top when it's on your wrist - i.e. mounts to the top, bottom slides through. However, wear whichever is more comfortable for you! |

Now I do feel stupid. I started to flip the straps back to the correct way to feel it out one more time. Then it occurred to me that I can simply wear the watch upside down.  Anyway, as just verified again, for me it is more comfortable wearing the strap the wrong way. Thanks Roff for your help and quick reply. |

Ok, I'm intrigued...... Bottom on top...... I'm not that clear exactly what you mean Roff. Lets call this one 'A';  Lets call this one 'B';  Both taken from the wearers' perspective, with the bottom lugs just visible. Which is the 'recommended' way? I've always used option 'A' & find it really comfortable. p.s. sorry about the really crappy pics, I'm sure they'll serve the purpose for this scientific exercise. |

OK, so perhaps didn't explain very well so let's just stick to basics. 'Proper' way is fixed attachment to the strap that attaches to the 12 o'clock lugs, friction fit / variable attachment to the strap that attaches to the 6 o'clock lugs. If the opposite is more comfortable for you then feel free it's not a major thing. |

So "A" is the correct mounting according to Roff. Personally I find "B" more comfortable. But as this new strap continues to shape around my wrist, the right way is getting more tolerable. |

Hi dan_t, I hope the following is not confusing, but I have worn them both ways. Yes, I know. But, sometimes they are mnore comforable deploying in the opposite diretion, especially if you have boney wrists like me. Somehow, they are seem to sit better upside down, depending on the watch and the depoyment manufacturer. I have no issue unclasping in the opposite direction either.  There again, I sometimes wear my watches on the opposite side of my wrist too, preferiing to turn round my wrist to read my watch!  Don't get me started on wearing my watch on the opposite arm, as thats a novel idea too.

I've always worn mine as shown in "A", but as said, if you find it more comfortable the other way, then it's no big deal. Comfort is inifinitely more important than "correctness" IMO. |
