I have an aerospace repetition minutes which I bought used about 10 years ago. The clasp spring has lost its springyness, for lack of a better word. The clasp closes fine but because the spring is dead, the watch slides up my arm or spins around my wrist when I move. Is it possible to purchase a new spring? It looks simple enough to dismantle the clasp and replace the spring, if I can only find a new spring. I have searched but cannot find watch band parts. Can it be ordered from Breitling or anywhere else?

Not quite following what the problem is, there is no spring in bracelet clasps. Can you post pictures of the problem?

Here is a photo of the offending clasp. The lower portion of the clasp that is hanging out should be snug inside the rest of the clasp until there is pressure on it. I realize my description isn't particularly clear. I will see if I can upload a video somewhere and link to it.

I found a man at a kiosk in the Watertown Mall (in Watertown, Masssachusetts) who claims he will replace the spring for thirty dollars. I tried to get him to explain how he was going to do it, because I couldn't manage to dismantle the clasp myself. The language barrier prevented him explaining it to me, all I could get from him was: "I can do it, I know how". I didn't have much confidence in letting him play with it, because at first he suggested that he could prevent the sliding portion from moving at all, by "making a hole".

I can't believe I am the first person to have to deal with the clasp spring wearing out. Hasn't anyone else needed to replace this spring?
