Looks great, I'm planning on doing kind of the same, possibly using Obita but I'm not 100% sure I like the look of them when winding.

You are very welcome. I take great comfort knowing without me the winder does not wind. Next trip to Ireland I'll have to throw one of mine on for a ride.

Very nice job indeed. I never thought about getting furniture professionally sprayed, but it makes perfect sense and obviously guarantees a superior finish.

Superb job!

Had not visited this in a while. Yes a professional sprayed finish really sets off and peice. It's the first and last thing you look at. Some prefer traditional finishes but the work involved is crazy and when you size up the job it get uneconomical. The only exception is all my gun stocks which when were new ware striped be me and hand oil finished. I estamatie over 50 coats were involved in the finishing. It's easy when it's your own project and give that it's only two small bit of timber, the stock and the foreend. Do one and you can see how any thing bigger that a decorative box is a no no.

Up from the depths of BS! Pictures were lost but I am working on them and have some back up to maybe it will inspire some, maybe give others some ideas for projects. More pics that are blocked to come.
