I think my leather strap on deployant needs replacing and I was curious to know how often you guys tend to replace the calf leather strap on your Breitlings.

None of the options really apply for me. I'm not wearing any one strap every single day so that makes a difference, but straps will last me more than one service interval, especially deployant.

I have not had to replace any yet, most of mine are stainless but I do have 1 deployment croc band and a tang buckle croc, just from a short time I can tell the deployment will out last the tang strap because of the constant pulling to take it on and off.

Like Roff said, I'd expect my deployant croc leather to last > 1 service interval. My croc leather on tang has taken a lot more wear simply from the opening/closing of it, as well as the tang buckle itself cutting into the leather.

Never had to! I tend to rotate my watches, some have bracelets. For that reason I expect them to last a long time. I don't wear my straps tight and avoid wearing strap watches in dirty or damp conditions to minimise any potential for degradation. I also apply a leather care solution from time to time to maintain suppleness and to prevent drying out. Both my leather and croc straps are at least 5 years old and still have plenty of life in them.

Same here, never had to replace mine either. I had a 24mm blue with deployant that I removed for bracelet replacement. The deployants just seem to hit my wrist in the wrong spot, so I can't seem to wear those.

I have bracelets and straps for most of my watches. Certainly all my Breitlings have straps and bracelet options. I tend to wear straps in cooler months and bracelets in warmer months unless I want a bit more toned down and a bit more formal look for a bit more formal evening out.
Combined with a rotation between the watches my straps have an easy life.

My straps are all in relatively good condition, so haven't had to change them out as yet.
The key for me is to switch the leather / croc out for a steel bracelet in the sticky summer months. I also take them off the watch and clean them regularly, particularly to remove any excess body oils from the inside. I then coat the inside of the straps with a waterproof leather conditioner to resist it absorbing oils / sweat etc.
They all seem to still look pretty good as a result!

Breitling tang buckles are the worst in the industry in my opinion. The edge is so sharp it rips the crap out of the strap, especially if you are on the last two holes. But their deploys don't fit me well either. The dilemma for me was solved by getting short tang based straps without the buckle ($50 bucks or so cheaper) and then using aftermarket butterfly deploys.

I have exactly the same problem and use exactly the same solution ;-)
I find the buterfly deployants dead comfortable and very strap friendly.
Don't care that they have no Breitling logo on them.
