Breitling 350D Pilot Bracelet problem Hi, I'm wondering if anyone can help? I have a 350d pilot bracelet and one of gold connector links (the link which connects at the watch head end) has a crack on the gold plating on the outside. I have contacted Breitling who have informed me that links are no longer available (a full replacement bracelet is available at £2500!). Looking at the shape of the link I'm thinking that it could turned over and swapped with the same opposite link from the other half of the bracelet (..if you see what I mean..) It would mean turning the two swapped links over to keep the right fitment, etc (and having them polished as the back face is unfinished). In this way the crack will then be on the inside. Does anyone know if this sounds like a dumb idea or have others done this? Alternatively if anyone knows where I could get a replacement link....(0: Thanks for reading...... Ps... Or if another bracelet link is compatible? |

Without pictures I'm not sure from your post if you are talking about the end-links (i.e. the bit that the spring bar goes though and attaches the bracelet to the watch, or the first link of the bracelet that attaches to the end-links. From the part of your mail where you talk about having to "turn the link over", I'm guessing that you mean the first link of the bracelet that attaches to the end-links? If so, you will have a lot of trouble removing the links that attach to the end-links as they a welded, not screwed as they aren't designed to be removable............. unless I've totally missed the point here. |
