Is it possible to use a rubber Breitling band on a Breitling B-1 and use the deployment clasp from the fighter bracelet?
There seem to be holes for pins on both sides of the watch. I know the rubber band will attach to the watch, but am not certain about the
deployment clasp. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

I deleted your duplicate thread, please don't double post.

You would need a deployant strap to get the springbars on both ends, and I would want to try it first before committing money. The fighter bracelet was discontinued years before Breitling introduced deployant rubber straps so they definitely aren't designed to work and I would be surprised if the clasp shut properly.

I have both the rubber strap and the b-1 deployment clasp on the fighter bracelet. Is there any reason that the rubber band won't link with the deployment part of the clasp? Is the clasp flat or is there a link attached? I have never taken it apart. Please give me a clue before I start a home surgery project I know nothing about.

The clasp is attached with springbars on both sides, but it is produced to fit snugly with the bracelet. Because the strap is both different in thickness and constructed very differently I suspect that it isn't going to close properly, but ultimately no one can say until someone tries it!

I am trying to surmise if I can use the B-1 deployment clasp with either a rubber , off the shelf or custom made strap. It seems like one end of the deployment clasp will work easily, the other side seems like one of the links is actually part of the deployment clasp and will not allow a flat rubber strap to attach. Does anyone have experience with this clasp? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Does anyone have a picture of this actually being achieved?

You can't use the bracelet clasp with a Breitling rubber strap, if you go the custom route then you would need to check with whoever you wanted to do the work but I imagine that it would be a challenge.
