Hi All,

What would everyone think about doing a watch tool kit sticky ?

I only ask because I’m new here and I have done some research into the topic, but I’m now more lost than ever, it’s all a bit techy and it seems to have a varied lot of information for a greenhorn like me and I’m also sure tools required is old hat for most on here.

Sticky posts are generally first stops for info, I also thought it may stop a few of those greenhorn generic questions about tools.

So my thoughts are we could do a “Show us your tool kits” or “Quintessential tool kits for watches”

Sorry if it’s a stupid idea or too expansive and or already done and I couldn't find it

Regards

My tool kit is just a spring bar tool , some sticky tape and some polishing cloths :-)

Jewelers screw drivers, small needle nose, a bracelet block, loop, spring bar tool with extra tips, a pin gun for those darn pin based bracelets, masking tape, Sunshine cloths, untreated polishing cloths, a 1mm leather punch tool, a fresh 1"x1" square of Scotchbrite pad, lots of spring bars, a small rubber mallet for those darn pin based bracelets. Yeah that's about it for me.

So to change out straps and bracelets I will need what else ?

nothing really. Although I would recommend putting some tape across the lugs on your first few attempts to prevent the inevitable scratching that happens when you start out with the bergeon.
