I just bought a Chrono Avenger and was wondering what would be a good winder to buy for the money. This is my first watch winder si I am new at this. Thanks for your help! |

Everyone likes different ones, however I can say the the Wolf Viceroy module 2.7 is my favorite. It is very quiet ( won't wake you when they start spinning ) and has all of the adjustments you could need. Variable TPD, variable direction and LCD monitors to let you know the TPD status. Quick photo of mine below, however they make these in single, dual, triple, quad, six and eight stations.

As Omi says, everyone has their own favourites. At the risk of this becoming a list of everyone's favourite models, for my cheaper watches I'm still partial to cheap Far Eastern winders as you get a large number of "cups"/holders for not a lot of cash. My only stipulation is that they are programmable and bi-directional. The problem with these is that they tend to get a little noisy after a while (or stop altogether, although I've not found that myself), but then I've also found Rapport boxes (which are MUCH more expensive) have done the same. The good news is, that because they are cheap to buy it's no biggy when they need replacing, and I've had cheap Far Eastern winders last for years. For my more expensive watches I swear by Orbita Sparta Deluxe winders. IMO they offer a nice natural winding motion, are very quiet, and are nicely finished, without breaking the bank. I've said it before, but IMO watch winders are amongst some of the most over-priced things out there, so I'm very careful about what I buy. |
