Post subject: | Colt Bracelet Help |
My boss has a Colt Automatic 1999-2005 version (smooth dial). Original owner, never had the bracelet off of it or any sort of work beyond Breitling service a couple of years ago. So it is 100% original no chance the bracelet has been swapped out or altered. He needs a link for the bracelet because he can't find box/paperwork in his house. Of course he does not have it on his wrist today he has his Tissot on. I have seen it a million times and 99% sure the bracelet if fully polished...but seem to remember seeing some that had bracelets that were both brushed and polished. He thinks it is all polished too. So can you guys point me to the proper link or give me a part number or size or anything? Can you confirm that he wants an all polished one? Would it be the original professional bracelet? I know the links are "straight" like on the older steelfish bracelets not "angled" like on my 2011 Steetfish. I'll post something in WTB once I know what I actually need. But if you have one drop me a PM and let me know what you want for it. Thanks! |

As far as I know the two are essentially identical, but were for different models. |

Could I get an 18 and add it up by the lug or a 16 and add it by the clasp? I've never shortened a bracelet other than by removing one or more links at the clasp. I assume he would have removed at the clasp too, so I should go hunting for a 16mm, right? It is not the case that the individual link actually tapers it is an 18mm link OR a 16mm else how could they mate up:?: I don't have one in front of me but I thought the bracelet was made up in a bunch of non-removable links with the proper taper then a few removable all the same size. |

Removable links will physically be 16mm wide, but will likely be advertised as for an 18/16 bracelet. |

Not sure which Colt exactly you are referring to. The one with straight cut links is a Professional bracelet and it is not 823A. ![]() |

Neither do I anymore, but if the watch was from 1999-2005, it should be on Fighter bracelet. |

I'm thinking it is the professional not the fighter, but at this point not sure. I'm going to have him take picture of the watch and bracelet. Thanks for all the help so far. |

Well, I obviously have a bad memory, not all polished and not straight. So forget everything so far. Below is his actual watch. |

I have the same bracelet and I need a few extra links as well. Any ideas where I can find some? Just bought my first Breitling And not sure where to look besides a AD. |

Is there another bracelet number that matches the 823a or do I need to Look for that specific one? No luck on eBay yet, any chance Breitling would still have them or an AD? Thanks for any info. |
