Post subject:  question on Navitimer's deployant

examining forumers pictures of their deployant it seem to me that there is no retention of the strap at the buckle side. Am I wrong? Is there the risk that, if the buckle is open and the watch hangs, the strap lift away and the watch fall?

It's friction fit and it's not going to fall out.

It will not fall out but I have had slight slippage on all of my DPLs.
On mine I have squeezed the two lugs down onto the strap VERY carefully so that it gives extra pressure on the adjustable side of the strap.
I have found that it holds its size better and does not allow the slippage.
Might not be that relevant to OP but may help a little.
