Hi, I just bought a Super Avenger and it comes with the Pro II bracelet and the Rubber Strap. I want to be able to swap between the two myself and also be able to remove links and adjust the size etc.

Can someone please tell me what tools I need to do this? Could anyone post a link to an eBay auctions so I can see what I need?

Easy to change a strap yourself. You just need a Bergeon 6767.

Costs about 20$.

Would that work to remove links too or is that another tool?

You need a 1.7 or 1.8mm jeweler's screw driver ideally. Two are a good idea as many bracelets require two screw drivers on the link that attaches to the clasp. Only comes into play for us "slender" wristed sorts.

I just shortened my new super avenger yesterday, shark an is correct with screwdriver size, I have a jewelry store so I have all the tools. There like a puzzle shortening them you have to put the pieces back correctly, you will know if you don't because the screws won't go in flush. Good luck pretty simple for the most part. Enjoy the watch I have 4 super avengers, I love them

Also, you might want some painter's tape so you can wrap areas you do not want to scratch when changing bracelets/working screws. Simply cover as much area as you can given that tape can minimize a slip. You'll also want to tape the area on the side of the watch head in which the bracelet makes contact with to avoid marks...I learned that the hard way. You can also cover the glass with this tape when polishing the watch. A little blue (medium) Loctite may not be a bad idea either...I did that to every single bracelet and bezel screw on mine as I am constantly in water and moving fast, so a bracelet that comes apart would be bad. Oh, and a Cape Cod so if you make a minor scratch you can remove it easily and not beat yourself up about it.

And you likely know this but size the bracelet accordingly given wrists can swell in some conditions (usually heat and often saltwater) and it can be pretty substantial. My wrist swells a good bit in the ocean to the point where I need to back off one notch on my Dive strap than what I would normally wear.

i recommend going to ofrei.com. buy that bergeron tool they mentioned. and get a set of bergeron screwdrivers for $80. sounds steep to some people, but you will have them till your dead. with that combo you should be able to adjust pretty much every watch out there that uses screws for bracelet connections.

The tools definitely make a difference, I know from experience,spend the $250 and pretend your a professional watchmaker.
