Hi All,

I've got a 1940's (1945 I think) Omega, not sure what model it is (see picture) and the main spring has broken. Does anyone recognise this movement and could maybe recommend a mainspring for it?

Chris

I've been having a quick look on the internet with the serial number (10441223) I believe its 1944, and the movement is either 100, 260 or 280. I think it might be the 100. still not sure on a main spring though.

Ask any watchmaker and they can look it up in Bestfit. Don't have my copy in the office but will try and look it up on the weekend if I remember.

Would be great if you could have a look for me, don't really get the opportunity to go anywhere bar work when the local jewellers are open.

100 is 4 x 9 x 13 1/2

260 & 280 are 6 x 8 x 13

Can't tell from that photo which movement it is.

Hope it is fixed by now If not, my supply house lists mainsprings for 100, 260 and 280. They are all different.

Finally got around looking at this and with a bit know knowledge I stripped the movement down completely and can see it is a 28 Cal. Unfortunately I cannot find any information out about them other than its a slim line version of the 30mm manually wind movement but has no interchangeable parts and later went on to be the 360 cal.
