Hi All, It's been a while since I've posted on here. I bought a job lot of mechanical watches the other day and found this Smiths Deluxe in there. I'm not clued up on smiths and for some reason can't find a great deal out about them on the internet. It needs a new hairspring but I've never replaced one before so it may be easier to just replace the whole balance wheel. Can anyone help identify the movement and balance wheel needed? You never want to replace a hairspring, always a balance complete - just way easier to deal with. I can see if I can find the movement in Bestfit but am going to need a little more info - can you at least provide the movement size? |
