Hi, I was wondering if someone had changed the battery in their Aerospace Avantage before? Are there any gotchas I should be aware of? Cheers!! Dom |

Not sure if anyone here has done it, but the recommendation is to take it to a Breitling AD with a watchmaker. For $60 - $80 you'll get the battery change and no concerns over future servicing which can easily happen if Breitling recognizes that unauthorised work has been performed. |

Thanks, I appreciate the advice! I think it's a bit more in the AD's I've seen locally - London so I'm still interested in a bit of DIY depending on how easy it is as the case back appears to just be screwed in place ![]() |

You may be opening a can of worms to save a few dollars. |

I'd normally agree with you about the cost as it's a bloody ripoff to just get a £5 battery replaced (especially as they don't guarantee against leaking batteries), however for a watch that currently retails at £3,100 I'd not take the risk of damaging anything as BUK will just refuse to fix it, or they will stiff you big time to repair any damage. I've got a Co-pilot on my Aerospace, so two sets of batteries, and effectively twice the cost ![]() Wonder if it's just good old 'rip-off Britain' that has to put up with these high prices ... no doubt due to some arbitrary currency exchange rate |
