Post subject: | Experimenting with a broken watch |
I have a cheap non-named watch. It's an automatic and although the rotor turns freely it doesn't seem to be winding the watch. It has stopped. When I wind it manually I can see cogs turning, but the watch still won't start ticking. It is a good chance for me to play about with a watch that I can't damage and it won't cost anything. I've nearly got the movement out. The only thing holding it in is the winder crown. I don't want to just tug it Are there a few different ways to get it off? Any advice would be good. Thanks. |

Nevermind, it's out It has a little button to press near to where its spindle goes in to the mechanism. Push that and pull the winder out Still no action though, even when the winder turns the cogs. Still trying |
