Shipping and clerical issues aside, this is a pretty nice watch! It has good size and wrist presence. I like that the entire watch save the fixed bezel and crown is brushed. The case is very nice with plenty of weight. I was concerned from early pictures the dial might be too glossy, but it isn’t. Just enough gloss to let the dial pop and fit well with the polished bezel. The matte subs at 12 and 6 provide a nice contrast to the gloss black dial. It has enough going on to not be boring but yet is not too busy. It is a very readable watch. The red touches on the chrono seconds and running seconds hand make the dial IMO. Whoever came up with that idea deserves a gold star. Under a loop there are some identifiable uneven margins to the arabics. Nothing the naked eye can pick up – but it is there. The blue/green full lume is quite nice. Overall the dial is quite appealing! The bracelet is comfortable and easy to adjust. It doesn’t taper and wears solid. The only gripe is not Steinhart specific - why do so many watch makers insist on relying soley on a half link for final adjustment? As with some other watches I own, it always seems the bracelet is too tight with a half link removed and a little too loose with the half link in. Presently I have both half links out and added a full link to the 12:00 side which seems better, but still is on the edge of too snug. Keeping good time thus far. The 7750 seems well tuned. The crown is not a screw in, so I would never swim in this one. All in all, a very nice piece for the $$. Paraphrasing Ernie Banks – “I’ll take two!” |

I must say 2 things stand out above all else - the size is impressive and the dial/bezel is very apealing. Really a lot of watch for the money IMO. I did not expect it to look/feel this substantial. Much more so than the Oris BC4 Chrono of the same size which cost a few hundred more. Nice job to all those who contributed to this watch and a surprising (for me anyway) thumbs up to Steinhart. I think I may need to pay more attention to that Triton Diver I've beentoying with. |

I like it the more I look at it. The ONLY thing is the bracelet half-link adjustment. BUT once the Arizona summer is over I supect the present setting will be perfect. Just wondering - plenty of watchmakers use a single half link or even 2 half links. Is there some problem with a 1/3 link? In other words a half link plus a 1/3 link would be as adjustable as the most adjusatable bracelets. |

Great pictures, best dial shots I have seen, in reading everyones comments this watch gets better and better everyday, the only negatives being Steinhart dispatch, which will hopefully be sorted very soon. Thanks, Ian. |

I checked it again against the atomic clock after 48 hrs., +/- 0 sec., may be a fraction of a sec off, it can be hard to tell sometimes with the small secs. dial. But WOW, didn't expect it to be that exact - may change with time. I have also seen the half-links to be a problem. With this one, a full link is 10mm and a half link is 7mm. Since there are two half links you can get to a 3-4mm resolution with different combinations. Not bad, but 2 or 3mm would work better. Mine fits a little snug right now. Otherwise watch looks great! The size is right at my upper limits I believe and I will continue to evaluate it the more wrist time it gets. Since I just aquired another piece (used B2 popped up unexpectantly) I may have to unload one - ??. Trying to keep to 3 watches that I wear consistantly. |

Lookin' good, sharkman  I didn't realise it had a German day wheel, that's something a bit different for the collection. The polished bezel is interesting, I'm not used to seeing one on this style of watch. The croc strap looks great with it. |
