Is that weird looking light on the dial in both shots just from reflection?

No - the Mother Ship is calling.

You mean the "spotlight" effect between 5 and 7 o' clock in the first picture?
it's the running chrono second with 10 second shutter time of the camera. :)
But the mother ship is also a nice suggestion...

OK, after some effort an a little bit of creative thinking, which technically would have been a federal offense had Fedex been the U.S. Postal Service, I did manage to get my watch delivered to a neighbor. I just got home this morning and opened the package and am happy to say it was even the correct number.

The watch is fantastic! As expected, I love it and am thrilled. Thanks again to Altair for making this possible, and for providing better customer service than most manufacturers and ADs. I'll post wristshots on the other thread tomorrow.

In the meantime, I have one last question for Altair to pass on to Steinhart: Is it possible to exchange the black strap with the one I really wanted? I had my heart set on the grey strap, and I already have oodles of black ones. I'll even pay for shipping to send the black one back to Steinhart. I ask here because I have yet to get any sort of reply from Steinhart themselves regarding any email I have ever sent them (and not just about LEII).

I got a few extra bonus straps from Steinhart when they had messed with my LE 1. One of them was their Special Grey strap. I don't use it very much, just had it on once to see how it looked - now it's just in the drawer. If you want, I can ship that one to you. Just give me your address and it'll be on its way.

Glad that it finally worked out! Even if it is afetr a bit of a hassle.

Yes you can exchange the strap, simply ship it back to Steinhart and ask for the one you want, they are very open about that sort of thing.
