Every time I go away and then open up this thread you've made a zillion new posts...

My watch seems to have been delivered the 24th, but as I was not at home (away skiing for Christmas) it seems to be back in Narita Airport. Why it would be there and not in Tokyo I have no idea - just a bad feeling... Well, the worst that could happen is that it'll have to be re-sent from Germany. In that case I guess I'll "win" the competition of who gets the watch last by several miles.

GOT IT!

Watch arrived on the 24th but for some reason we missed it although we were home at the time :?: The watch was then again delivered this morning but of course we weren't home. I then spoke to fedex several times over the phone to ensure it would be at the depot so I could collect it in person, which I did about 20 mins ago  Coudn't be happier.

First impressions were it's huge, I love it, I love the dial colour, which to me is unique and it's great value for the price we paid. I am thrilled and really happy to be 1 of 15.

I'll post some wrist shots tonight. Although my initial thoughts were how big it is, having worn it for a short while, I think the size will grow on me.

Thanks again Altair, it's brilliant to be a part of the forum's first successful LE purchase!

So, finally! For the last three days I have been calling the delivery partner in Tokyo four times (as FedEx use a partner here), and they still had not managed to get it right. Finding a house in Japan can be tricky as "the streets have no name" - everytime I go to a friends house the first time I allow 20 extra minutes just to be able to circle his block. Well, however, the partner must have had an all time rookie on this delivery. After not receiving it yesterday as promised (for the fourth time) just to see it show up as "customer absent" on their tracking page, I lost my temper. I called them again, insisted on talking to the branch manager and told him that he had no other option then to take a taxi to get here with the package personally. Of course he tried to avoid that, but I was a bit too upset to tolerate a no. So, 9.45 yesterday night, I finally got it. Very nice, although an interesting flaw in the case - I'll try to make a picture of that and upload it together with the wristshot shortly.

Posted a picture of the watch in the Steinhart forum and people are foaming at the mouth wanting one  If it was not for the initials they would sell for double what we paid, at least!

Guys who did not get their tracking numbers, please check your spam inbox as the message might have been delivered there by error, spam filters do that sometimes.

Glad you got it early Driver, looks like you owe British customs an apology

Can you or someone send me a link to the Steinhart forum??

The irony of Roffi not having his watch is not lost on anyone here...

I got my watch!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

1:10pm EST on the 29th, which I think makes me the 'winner' of the last to arrive.

Absolutely love it - could not be more pleased and am staggered by the value for money.

Will post a pic up in the next day or so, along with the custom buckle / strap that Altair also facilitated (residing on my AS BS).

Really pleased for you Roff :lingsrock:

The quality shocked me as well, that said I am struggling with the 47mm  I think I may be the first to flip a LE  I know we have engraving on the back but it does not look out of place at all. All I have extra on mine is MDW153.

Finally! very happy for you Roff!

I told you about the quality! I already have four Steinharts, and wait till you see what I have in store for you on the Mark II

taffy, if the watch is not to your liking you definitely should sell it, I am sure it will fetch its original price plus shipping, easy! I would put an ad here first then maybe try the Steinhart forum.

The way I see it, if it doesn't make you smile why not give someone else a chance? Especially since these are extremely limited and no more are ever going to be produced.

Did anyone ever find out how long the power reserve is on the LE? I picked mine up on 12/28 and wound it and put it on at approx 745am CST. As of this post it is still tickin strong!!!

Just curious.

Heres a funny observation. I was thinking that my Navi World was a little too big but after wearing my Steinhart for a week, I strapped on the Navi World back on and IT LOOKED SMALL!!!! :)
