Here is one of the non lings' I've been looking at but it's 'new' so ...

Here are the pair of J-class I've been checking out:

I would go with matching straps or bracelets so I need to figure that into the price I'm willing to pay. I may just wait and see if someone here ends up with something more to my liking. I'm in no rush whatsoever as I'm still putting the sports car back together and it sucks $$ like a black hole ;-).

Special knowledge can be a terrible disadvantage if it leads you too far along a path that you cannot explain anymore.

Well we're going to start her slow so she get's used to the idea of more than one watch ;-) This fit the bill while I search for a match pair, likely J-Class but maybe RODO's for dress.

This was vintage (her current kick), inexpensive and looks classy without being pretentious. And it gets me by Mothers DAY, oh and it's not an appliance ;-)

So I went to the AD today and was looking at a pair of RADO's and a pair of Movados. I'm thinking hey! I could use a dress watch and if I get one for HER ... well then it's togetherness ya know. hmm I could plan this out for Xmas the Movado Esperanza two tone pair can be had for less than $2k and the Rado Sintra Jubile's can be had for about $3k for the pair. without any bargaining just their first price.

Now I know that the factory wants to control the price but just how flexible, in todays economy, can they be? I wonder if I could do better by buying outside of the states and taking advantage of the variations in exchange rate?

Still looking for something, just tossing out ideas, only 8 months until xmas ;-)

sorry for posting my own reply but I had also looked at the Omega Ladies Constellation here:
http://tinyurl.com/djvtej

it is a nice looking watch but one) I don't know if it's real, two) I'm kind of settling in for a matched pair for xmas:

1) J-Class - Blue
2) Rado Sintra Jubilie
3) Movado Esperanza

The ones above are what I've seen so far that have a match, are not tool watches (although the J-Class is suspiciously close ) ;-) and fit into the price range I'm considering (while I love to look of some of the $10k+ watches that's not where I want to spend my $$) Are there any other ladies watches that also have a matching mens watch? relatively clean uncluttered look.
