Debated on putting this in the General section, but thought I try Ladies first and see how the responses are.

My wife and I are planning a get away long weekend of 4-5 days for sun and surf. I'd like to surprise her with a more sporty watch. She is a big fan of "larger" watches so I don't see any of the ladies specific Breitlings fitting the bill. I am open to suggestions but my first choice would be that the watch has to be able to be put on a blue ocean racer. I'm currently leaning toward a Colt GMT. I'd guess any colt would do, but I just sort of dig the GMT complication. Probably looking to buy used just due to recent Christmas purchases, taxes for my business due soon and the trip prompting the watch purchase.

I think the white face colts are a bit more feminine, but her Cartier Roadster is white so some variety would be nice. What do you all think of a blue Colt on a woman's wrist?

The more I look at the new Colt 33/44 online the more I like it. I'd rather and auto over a quartz, but not a deal breaker for this.

My first choice is a Breitling, but guess I am open to suggestions on that too. So what else should I put on my list?

Ha, I sold my blue dial Colt GMT just like in your picture last summer. It's a great choice, most accurate automatic I ever owned. The blue is a little darker, more of a steel blue. The Colt 33 would be a good choice, but just not available yet. Other ideas:
1) Breitling SO, older style (2003-2008) with the blue dial would look great on blue OR.
2) Omega Seamaster 2254 version but with blue dial, used ones available in auto. and quartz. (41mm)
Good luck with your search!

Here is a blue Omega Seamaster that just popped up on TZ:

I really like the Galatic 36, but you can't get an OR strap for one. :(

Greetings!
I agree with Kodiak; the prior edition of the Breitling Super Ocean, and I would go up to 2010 (before they went to the rubber bezel). That on an ocean racer strap with deployment buckle is a winner for me! (I, too, like my watches on the larger size!). The Omega Seamaster Professional 2254.5 is great also; large but thinner than the SO and extremely comfortable even on my small wrist. As both of these are no longer made, you may need to search around. As for current made Breitlings, the Galactic 41 and the Omega current Seamaster Professional might be worth looking at. Take her to some watch shops and let her try stuff out; you might be surprised at what she takes a fancy to!
