I found this review recently:

http://monochrome-watches.com/introducing-breitling-navitimer-01-46mm-navitimer-1461-48mm/

Today I had the chance to have both 43 and 46 mm Navitimers on my wrist, as well as the 48mm GMT.
Now I'm convinced the 46mm doesn't feel too big on my wrist. It wears smaller than you think. Visually, it's about the same size as my 43mm Chris Ward C11 auto.Even the 48 GMT is not over the top, though definately large. I had gotten doubts about the 46mm since some people find it too big... Fortunately I'm a tall guy, so no worries for me anymore :)

I have small wrists too. I had the Navitimer World (46mm) for a year and a half, and I never had a problem with it's size. I loved it and thought it was great. Last month I sold it to buy a navitimer 01 (43mm). I bought the 01 for looks and the movement, not for size, but the size and look on my wrist is definitely better.

My opinion is that if you're interested in black dial lay out but you're ambivalent about size, then you should probably get the 43 for the better fit. But if you want the 46 for the size, display back, or want a blue dial navitimer (FYI it's much easier to get a blue navi 46 than getting the limited blue dial 01 43mm) then by all means get the size that corresponds with what you want.

Good luck!

Did you try them on your wrist? If not, you really need to do that. Otherwise it's going to be hit or mis...

This will be my first Breitling. I was originally looking at the Super Avenger but it was way too heavy and big for me. I decided i wanted the Iconic Breitling and went with the Navitimer 46mm.
