hey- great post and great story. it certainly looks great on the wrist. i hope to be adding this to my collection shortly (exactly the same spec and color). Interesting that you note it goes well with your suits/formal dress because I thought it might not, but relieved it does. In regards to the weight, whenever I've tried Brietlings on at AD's, i've always thought they should weigh a bit more than they do- especially their bracelets but at 158grams the SA is still one heavy beast. Also, how do you find the watches comfort on an everyday use basis. Does it get in the way? (i doubt a shirt cuff would stretch over an SA), and does it put strain on the wrist? Finally, is it a watch you feel comfortable knocking around, exercising with etc. I know that i hate shaking my Rolex/Cartier's about and only use my TAG for gym/cycling etc. P.S. That baseball hat is great. |

Great Mercury2wo As you say - a journey really - and also one which can be repeated time and time again. I think what you say about not compromising and being prepared to wait for the right watch is sound advice indeed. Well written and very interesting - thanks for sharing your experience. ![]() |

Guess it will take a while to get used to. And NO - maybe I am being paranoid - But I used my trusted Casio GShock for any gymming or heavy activity. But I have to mention that I wear my Super Avenger 12 hours of the day - EVERYDAY. It is not my special watch - but no Heavy Activities pls! |

Yeah, you'll have to make it a habit to watch out for it. My Carlos Coste is 19mm thick, which is about the same as the SA, and if I let my guard down it can hit walls, doorways... Great review, by the way. I want one! |

hey Mercury2wo, i got hold of my s/s SA yesterday and definately agree with the points made in your review. It really is a stunning piece and i'm so glad i went for the 'full ling' rather than one of its titanium bredren (although i still love them). The excitement gained by wearing this watch is unparrelleled. Its like a metropolis of cogs and stainless steel made base on your wrist and its a real experience just telling the time. I savour those moments !!!!! The comfort is great and there is no wrist fatigue (even on my small 7.25inch wrists) and once you take it off it is like one of your body parts are missing. |

Very entertaining story. I am also leaning towards a black SA. Hopefully will have less of an ordeal to get it. Enjoy! |
