My Superocean 44mm has arrived, I picked this up from an AD in Calgary which is 2.5 hours south of me. The reason I bought it from an AD in another city is the fact that our local AD didn’t want to play the discount game, so I phoned around for pricing but I didn’t go with the lowest price. I could have bought the watch for $250.00 less, but I did take reputation into consideration. Aside from that, they said that if there is a need for service work I can send it to them and they will send it to Breitling Canada free of charge. They will also refinish the watch anytime I want whenever I’m down in Calgary. I also get a free service before the end of the warranty period which is 2 years.

You may notice some lines on the markers around the bezel, they are actually raised SS markers that have a heavy brushed finish to match the brushed look on the watch. She is one solid piece of metal that sports a 44 mm diameter, 16.7 mm thick with a Breitling cal 17 movement. It also has an AR coating on the sapphire crystal. It’s topped off with a screw down crown & case back, 22mm lug width, Pro II bracelet, unidirectional bezel, 2000 meter water resistance, He valve, the reference number is a17391, 133.4 gram head weight, 233 grams with the bracelet. The watch is a chronometer and of course it comes with all of the documents.

As some of you know, I used to own a 42mm Superocean Pro. I found that the size was too small for my liking which is why I sold it. This watch is the perfect size but doesn’t look huge on the wrist, she fits like a dream.

While I am a big fan of the older Breitling models (especially the Headwind) with the all metal bezels, I do think this watch offers a very modern look for Breitling. Overall, I’d have to say that this is one of the nicest Breitling’s I’ve ever owned. If you have been contemplating making this watch your next purchase, I know you won’t be disappointed.

:canada falcon,

From a fellow Albertan GREAT PICK UP!! Congrats! The AD's in Calgary are great, glad you found what you were looking for. I bought an Oris from the same AD (I think I know which one you went to here, the service follow up sounds the same)

Enjoy the watch!

I forgot to comment on what you said about trying to take pics of this watch. You are 100% correct, I had a tough time with this watch and the pics still came out subpar IMO.

Cool! It's always nice bumping into fellow Canucks on the boards. I'm sure it was the same AD. Mathew is the manager/owner? They were very good to deal with, I was treated like a valued customer. The other place that I got a price from was La Swiss, I wasn't too impressed with them other than the fact that they came in $240.00 cheaper. That $240.00 is easily made up by the after sales service.

Yep same place, great guys/gals there. Matthew has sold to three other guys in my office. Great pricing and great service. Too bad about the game last night eh?

Too bad?? For whom? LOL, I've always liked the rivalry between our cities whether it's hockey or football. That hit that Hall took last night was brutal. One of the worst I've seen in a long time. It's funny, at the time of the hit, I said to my daughters that it was like getting hit by a truck. Within seconds the announcer said it was like he was hit by a Mack truck, I was happy with the end result.

Im actually from Van still a Nucks fan. The battles of Alberta do make for a fantastic sports rivalry. I was worried about Hall after that hit. Sounds like he's concussed.

Ya, I agree. He was out when he hit the ice, and I would highly doubt that he wasn't concussed. It was horrible they way he went down. I work with a guy that's from Vancouver, no one is a Canucks fan like he is. He eats, breaths and sleeps Canucks.
