Heeeeeeey Folks,

It was months of searching and viewing before I finally settled down on my first Breitling watch. As you can tell, I'm pretty excited about it.

I already own a BALL watch with the stop watch and telemeter functions, so I was looking for something a little bit more on the "classic" side. Something that I could wear as a dress watch.

I considered a few Omega and IWC models.. but end of day... I still prefered a watch that had more "meat" to it. I love the thickness and solid feeling of a watch. And the other brands were just a little bit too "soft" for me.

So I finally went back to Breitling, and lo and behold, just nice, a new limited edition, 100 piece only Avenger Seawolf "Code Yellow" was released. Here is my story....

So, the initial viewing of the watch actually didn't really catch my fancy. They actually had a private function where the watch was show cased, among other limited edition pieces. I don't know if it was the lighting, or I was too tired that day or the sales person just wasn't selling the watch to me.

It looks just all right, with a little bit of yellow. Perhaps I was expecting a little bit more yellow in it :P

My second viewing of the watch, was when I really started to appreciate it.

Firstly, it had the characterstics of a classic dress watch. Just one knob! Just to wind the watch and adjust the time and date and nothing else. No tachymeter, stop watch, telemeter etc.
The dial had a clean look to it. Not cluttered by any other sub dials, another feature of a dress watch. The individual hour markings were all embossed and highly shinned. The Breitling logo was also embossed, giving it a very outstanding look. And to be honest, the amount of yellow seems just right for me on the second viewing. Only the second hand is yellow with the surrounding inner markings (the seconds or something?). The 12, 6 and 9 marking have that glow in the dark while marking to give the yellow even more contrast. Overall look and feel of the face, together with the saphire crystal glass gave it a classy look, worthy of any formal ocassion.

And now for the casing and finish of the watch. Black steel coating!!! Very well polished, bezel gave it that very solid and rugged, "manly" look to it. Along with the rubber strap, to finish it off for the sporty appearence.

In short, a perfect blend of class and sportiness, all in one.

And now, let the photos do the rest of the talking.

I have the Avenger Seawolf, black face with batons and it really is a great watch. As for the code yellow

Looks like you've made great choice.

They are both nice watches. Kind of hard to compare. So different in many ways. But a LE Seawolf is in a different league altogether.
I would prefer a little more yellow in a "Code Yellow", though the black will help set it off.

I vote for the Breitling. Just the right amount of yellow to set off the watch. Actually I have been looking at this model myself for the past month. Thought that after my first Breitling this past summer that I would be satisfied--but it never stops. Since it was in limited production, and seemed to be a popular model based on the comments I've seen-this may add to its value. Enjoy!

The Breitling scores a bit higher on the obtrusive-to-elegance scale.

I really liked that one, but couldn't get my hands on one....
100 pieces is really exclusive, so I just ordered a regular Seawolf.

I just love the "Code Yellow" and even tried to get one, but with no luck! My AD looked high and low for me, but could not get me one. I may run across a used one down the road, but for me it's the "Code Yellow"! Good Luck!
