Great work, thanks for the time and effort.

Quick question for owners: how is the readability of the reverse display(s)? I've had reverse displays in a G years ago but couldn't get along with it unless in optimal
lighting. Would love to have an airwolf but the display is the only thing holding me back.

Thank you

Hello everyone, my first posting here.
I have a question not sure if anyone has noticed or possibly been discussed already regarding the Airwolf.
I noticed that the 6 has been cut short ie the top part of the 6 has been cut off by the lower digital display. Was this done in error as the other watches like Aerospace or Emergency don't have the same problem. The 6 now looks like a 0.
I feel this is a little poor craftsmanship coming from Breitling. Don't get me wrong I love Breitling and have owned Breitling watches since 1987 and will continue to use them.

Any comments or thoughts please.

It's just their design style.

I agree. They could have squashed the six into the space below the box, but then it would look weird when compared to the three and nine. I think they opted to keep the six the same size as the three and nine and cut it off. Part of the design style.

Thanks for the nice review.
I am the also a proud owner :0)
But I have one question which I cannot find in the airwolf manual.
It is about the button on the left side of the watch case, where is it for??

Eric.

It's not a button, it's an access for the bezel gears.

So I have looked at posts for other Breitlings about changing the face on their watches, and the consensus seems to be that it is expensive to do and Breitling keeps the old face. Has anyone ever done this for their Airwolf? 7 months ago I got a user Airwolf on eBay with the slate flat face, but I really kind of want the black sunburst. The price to change the face for other watches makes this change undesirable, but I was just wondering if anyone here has done it, and if so, how much did it cost? Great review by the way, this was definitely one of the big deciding factors for me in getting the Airwolf over the B-1.

is your wolf water resistant?
thank you

Andrew, yes it is water resistant.

Fvolfrine, I think if I were you, I'd see if somebody with a starburst face wanted to trade with you. People like both, but it seems the majority of people here actually like the non-starburst. (to include me--that's why I bought it)

Thanks Wildblue. I just sent my Airwolf in for servicing on Saturday. At some point I will inquire with Breitling about changing out the face, see what the cost would be. I would really love a custom flat black face, like a B-1.

Ok, I sent my Airwolf in for service a few weeks ago, and something struck me as funny. The date code on the watch is 5107B5. So the watch was produced in the 51st week of 2007. But it has the pinstripe face, not the sunburst face. When did they switch from sunburst to pinstripe?

Post subject:  Re: Airwolf Review

Bear in mind that that means the case was produced in 51/07, not that the watch was assembled then. I don't know anything about Airwolfs so others might have something to say about the timing, but the case date-stamp can be a bit misleading in terms of when the thing was actually put together.

I'm pretty sure the pinstripe started with 2008 models.

What irritates me with the Airwolf is the 6 o'clock number is cut off by the LED screen. That looks terrible. On the B-1 this is not the case. For that reason it would steer me away from ever purchasing it
