a polish farmer decides to try his hand at chicken farming. so he goes to the local chicken wholesaler and buys 100 chickens. he takes them home and plants them head first into the ground. he comes back in a few days to check on them only to find them all dead. dismayed but not dejected, he goes back to the chicken wholesaler and buys another 100 chickens. this time he plants them feet first in the ground. he goes back in a few days only to find them all dead. perplexed, he sends a letter to the polish dept. of agriculture telling them of his problem. in a few days he receives a reply. it says please send us a soil sample.
