Not to hijack the thread, but what you describe is happening big time here in Sweden... the smaller AD´s are losing their "dealerships" - left are the larger shops in the larger cities. I think at least three AD´s are being dropped here during the spring!

Just out of curiosity, who are the three AD's??

I don´t know the names of the shops. Last time I checked breitling.com there were only the large ones (STHLM/GBG/MÖ) listed in Sweden. I think there is a trend to close down the smaller ones and become more "exclusive" with more luxury-styled AD´s, but I can be wrong here... add the new inhouse movement to this, and it seems to me as if they are going to try to position themselves among the top brands for real. Just my two cents...

I just checked, there are 20 cities in Sweden listed (if you can call Nacka and Solna independent cities), and 29 ADs in total.

You got me a bit worried there that my AD in Helsingborg had given up, but he's still in the game.

I checked it now, and yes Aleister, there are quite a few AD´s there now. I guess I looked at the website just after they redesigned it - maybe they hadnt put all info there yet.

Still the fact remains - they are closing down some of the smaller ones.

The number of ADs in nearly all countries has been reduced over the last years. Just think about it, an old Chronomat was available for about 2000 Euros 12 years ago. Now, You are talking about 4000 Euros, when You look at the actual Chronomat. So, when the store has not made changes in those years, and the old Chronomat was already at its upper end of the pricerange, the store can hardly sell an actual Chronomat. Quite a few had to give up because of that change. In Austria, about 25% of the former Breitling ADs have stopped selling the brand for the last 12 years. And in the next two years I expect a couple more to give up.

Well list (on the Aero Racer) is $7690, so it's not a bad discount for an LE - there may be some more scope there, but I think your best bet is to contact jnelson3097 by PM for contact details of George at Govberg.

In terms of release date - it's already been announced so you can order it now. Not sure when the first pieces will actually be delivered - likely soon after Basel (which starts on the 26th) if not before.

Yep, the first couple have arrived in Australia already (None of them with the new bracelet though), so I would assume that they have arrived in other markets as well. You have to remember these are limited editions so it will be difficult to find them...
