Looks like I am in the minority here, as I absolutely LOVE that watch, to me that is the nicest Navitimer yet! The dial is not overly busy but just right, the silver GMT hand, dual totalizers rather than three, the applied B, indices rather than numerals, it all just works for me :lingsrock: :lingsrock: :lingsrock: :lingsrock: :lingsrock: :lingsrock: :lingsrock:

I too wish it was a MM or two larger, but 43 is acceptable to me as I have a 7.75" wrist. Can;t remember the last time I was this excited about a Breitling since I was drooling over my first 6.75!!!

Agree about the bracelet, but it might look better in the metal.

It's not a GMT hand Altair - it's the chrono minutes hand.

oh

Still excited about it though! Can't wait to get my greedy hands on one, maybe a black dial on black leather

As an aside, I do hope they also come out with an upgraded Chronomat and offer a bronze dial. I saw a 6.75 in Bronze on dark brown croco the other day and it looked amazing!

Anybody care to guess if this will have a display back? I know a fe Navitimers in the past have had display backs, that would really drive this home!

If I was to have to put a bet on I'd definitely go with no DB on this one. The fact it's not been mentioned on any of the notifications we've seen is one giveaway, and also Breitlings historic reluctance to put DBs on 99.9% of it's autos is another. The only auto I can think of with a DB is the super-limited-and-hard-to-find CA Rattrapante. All other DB's (certainly in recent years) have been the B69 equiped mecha-quartz models (for some BIZARRE reason!), and manual wind SE Cosmo.

I'm hoping that if/when the oft promised in-house movement comes along, they take the Panerai route (i.e. the Manifattura range) of showing off their handiwork on every single model!

I agree with Driver8, if it was going to have a DB that would have been in the details.

Breitling are obviously aware that us hardcore collectors are clamouring for a DB, but that probably doesn't carry much influence as we aren't 'normal' buyers. However DBs really are becoming mainstream now so hopefully they will sit up and take notice. I agree that a DB version of the in house movement would be incredible, and to continue a thought from the in house movements thread, it would also be a way for them to create a first year LE version of the in house movement.

I for one would put a deposit down on a first year in house DB without either seeing it or knowing the price!

Sigh, I suppose you guys are making sense, really a shame Breitling don't offer display backs. That said they do offer the nicest solid backs out there!

I agree with you Roff, although I don't consider myself a collector (more of a watch enthusiast) I would buy ANY Breitling with a display back even if it had a picture of Mickey Mouse on the dial.

according to my knowledge, the price here in Austria will be around 5000 Euro for the version with a steelbracelet, and delivery is supposed to be effected by end of march/beginning of april.
