Anyone been to a previous Basel ? Im considering taking a look this year. Im just wondering if their selling watches there aswell, maybe for a slightly better price too...

Yes, you see pictures posted on various forums. I'd like to go some year. Wish it was in Vegas, like everything else

They don't sell watches retail. The only pieces that are available are the extreme one offs - like the Bentley pocket watch that they produce every year as a single piece production run. They haven't yet failed to sell it during the show and although the price is never announced the general consensus is that none of them have sold for under $1,000,000. Also remember that the new pieces don't really exist by Basel - the production versions are still several months away. |
