Breitling China organized a great evening for Breitling watch collectors last night at their Hong Kong Boutique. Apart from an opportunity to meet other Hong Kong Breitling connoisseurs it was a chance to reminiscence over the display of various Limited Editions, Special Series and other collectible pieces from the past, some from Breitling's own collection and some on loan from the evening's participants.
Here are some shots from the evening, some a bit hazy but I blame it on the champagne ;-)

A few opening words at the ground floor level of the boutique.

This is also where the display was setup

We were then taken upstairs to the impressive VIP/Function area

and a nice collection of Breitling vintage pieces

I was tempted by the blue dialed Transocean Unitime and the Navi 1461 but unfortunately (or fortunately for my wallet) both a bit too big for my girlie wrist.
I'm a bit unsure about the mat finish of the Unitime, not brushed and not polished, something in-between.

Last but not least a kind gift from Breitling for being a good sport :-)

Hope you enjoyed!

Sounds like a great evening, and great photos. Glad that you enjoyed it, and looking at the current watches that they are featuring it does help to reinforce that they seems to be getting their senses back!

Which watch is that 2nd from the left in the first pic, looks a beast? That looks like a great event too, very posh!

Awesome photos! Thanks for sharing. Your Super Constellation would fit in well with the rest of those LEs.

Very Cool. I like that there is a large representation of of "late model" classics like the pre Evo chronmomats and older Navi styles that may not usually fall under the vintage umbrella.

I do actually like the look of the finish on the Unitime and welcome the emergence of a finish somewhere in between polished and brushed. It could be Breitling's equivalent to Rolex's polished center link bracelets or Omega's use of polished bezels with brushed casings that both toe the line of flash/function

My apologies Andrew, I missed your question somehow.
As they say though, better late then never ;-)
I guess you are referring to this picture? Second from the left?
If so, it is the Grand Premier, 1998 model.

Here is a better picture for you.

I am disappointed (what else is new ? )

The black AVI 765 shown has been made into something that never existed before

a (I assume) Breitling 'restored' dial and hands :(

But :

15 Minute counter incorrect
dial markings incorrect
dial font incorrect

such a shame

did you notice the hands on the 7806, Renè ?
worse.
or the relume job on the 8806

"Breitling - disrespect for our heritage"
a shame indeed.
sorry Wes for hijacking your great thread; we probably sound like grumpy old men.
