Post subject:  Breitling Floatplanes Meeting
The annual Floatplanes meeting took place this weekend in Vevey. The event was sponsored by Breitling and the local AD, Lionel Meylan and his family. He is, IMO, the best in the region and one of the best in Switzerland. Friendly and very knowledgeable staff makes it a real pleasure to visit his jewelry.

This year, the huge two-storey stand brought in by Breitling was the star of the show ashore. Winter showed its tip with icy winds (the well known by the local bise) and rain on Saturday but Sunday was a beautiful day.

All amphibious, I see. I haven't flown the Twin Seabee or Beaver yet, but hope to try them by next year.

Yeah, Kenworths are pretty rare in Europe and especially in Switzerland but those who are using them just love them. There is an annual meeting in Interlaken in July where over 2'000 truckies meet. Several can be seen there. Under the great sound of country music.
