Hello breitlingfanatics,

the latest information on new models for the basel fair:

There will be a new GMT model for the Bentley series (no idea, which one)
and there will be an x-large new Chronomatic model. I heard a rumor of 52mm!!!!!!!! That can be called a fat-ling then.

As soon as I hear anything, I will post the new rumors.

Nice!! a 52mm Chronomatic!?!? Crazy!!

My next goal is a 24hr dial of some sort.. ideally a Lemans or a Chronomatic.

A 52mm Chronomatic??! I'm quite a fan of the Chronomatic style, but I especially liked the special edition version from 2004. But it was too darn small for me.

However, I reckon 52mm may be too big, even for a World/SA/Bentley owner like me! But never say never, so I will reserve judgement until I see pics at least!

That sounds huge. I know I've asked for a bigger Chronomat, but I'm really not sure that 52 mm would be possible to wear. That might fit to my wrist, but it has to look good too. It'll be very interesting to see the model later on!

Thickness is very important too, the SA is thick enough to sit really well, balanced in fact but a glycine KMU48 I had a while back was too thin, it sat on the wrist with all the grace and panache of a station clock....despite being a wee bit smaller than the SA.....secret in my mind is a decently domed back to allow it to nestle nicely in the wrist!

Post subject:  SOH Chrono 38 mm day-date and Chrono Cockpit day-date wanted

On the other end of the road:

I strongly hope that we'll see sooner or later a Superocean Heritage Chrono in a 38-40 mm case with day-date Valjoux 7750. And maybe the same day-date feature on the Chrono Cockpit.

I have a 6.75" wrist but I want a "small to normal" watch for everyday use. Now my daily wearer (7/24) is the Chrono Superocean, but many times I feel it too big - first of all too thick. Regarding to size my IWC Fliegerchrono is perfect for my wrist, Breitling with the turning lunette and the wonderful Pilot and mesh bracelets make my heart beat faster...

Nice going Thomas! Great information!

Apart from the SO Heritage Chrono (which I really like the look of), I'm also loving the idea of the 49mm Chrono-Matic 49 in steel or redgold, and the Steel Seawolf! Great stuff....

But annoyingly, still no larger Windrider model!!!  I really think Breitling are missing a trick here as there are now quite a few larger Aeromarine and Navitimer models, but still nothing in the Windrider range. Shame.

Basel is a Swiss town, and also the site of "Baselworld" which is an annual watch fair where most watch maufacturers turn up to show off their new models. It's probably the premier watch event of the year.

Glycine have some 50 odd mm models and I've tried them on.
Too big.
For me - the 49 of the Chronomatic is about the biggest I can wear.

I still haven't tried one of those on. I just can't get past the bezel.
