Making a ladies automatic watch is not as easy as it seems. Eta had lots of trouble, although they invested huge amounts of money in the Eta 2000, this movement is not up to the standards of larger watch calibers. In the nineties there was a short periode, where they made some Lady "J" and Callistino watches with automatic movements. They were unrelieable, way off, troublesome watches. Best regulation efforts sometimes was +/- 20 seconds a day. When You want to sell all Your watches as Chronometers, You cannot do that.

So far, the winding problem for small watches has not yet been solved (also not for Rolex and other Brands, who have the same difficulties). Maybe there might be a chance with the new ceramic microrotors, in development at Eterna. But I doubt, that Breitling will present an automatic watch in the size of a cockpit lady in the near future.

But there are a lot of nice automatic "ladies" watches: The small Superocean Heritage, the Navitimer Montbrillant, the Chrono Cockpit...

One of my smaller female salestaff (about 5 feet high and about 90 pounds of weight) wears a Navitimer on a strap. She wanted it with a pilotbracelet, but it was impossible to shorten it for her wristsize...

So Ladies be creative, then You will find nice Breitling ladies watches...

It's not a Breitling, but there's a Swedish high end brand called Sjöö Sandström. (I have two, one regular and one chronograph.) Their ladies line have three automatic models, and I gave the one below to my girlfriend. It works as a charm and I haven't heard of anyone else with problems with the lady automatic. However, this is probably not helping you - it's neither a Ling nor located in the US...

I heard that Rolex produce one on the most accurate automatic movements going, which bizarrely is it's actually quite a small calibre which they use in some of their ladies watches. But I wasn't aware of the winding problem......
I learn something new everyday! I love this place! :)

Great looking traditional styled piece!

I think I may buy the my wife a Tag Heuer Monaco Chrono or a Bvlgari Steel Chrono.

Both are 38mm automatics.

:) Perhaps 'being wound up' has different meanings either sides of the pond. Over here, it means being annoyed or aggravated by someone.
She only matches your more agreeable version on Friday nights.
