Since I am on the prowl to pick up a leather strap for my Navi World, I want to make sure that I understand the sizing etc for straps and deployants.

For a Navi World, I would have to purchase a 24/20 strap, and if I wanted to purchase a deployant buckle, I would have to purchase a 20mm deployant - correct?

From what I understand, the standard length for Breitling leather straps is 110/90, however long and short "special length" straps are available. Generally speaking, what size wrist puts you into the long or short categories? I would assume too that the size of the watch case would play into that as well, correct?

As always, thanks to all for your help!

Correct on all counts.

Long are 10mm longer on each side, short are 10mm shorter on each side.

My wrists are just under 8" (or at least they were when I sized my straps) and I found the regular length to be just about long enough on my Cosmonaute and Complications 19s - both relatively small, certainly relative to the World.

Thanks Roff!

Hmmm - so I've been doing some rough math here for the last few minutes. My wrist is approx 7.5 inches, or about 191mm (measured by cutting a strip of paper the approx width of a watch strap, and wrapping around my wrist, not too loose, not too tight, then measuring).

If a standard strap is 200mm total, plus taking into account 46mm for the World, it sounds like I would need a short strap. I guess I'm not sure how much overlap you generally have on the strap ends when the deployant is closed.

Short would be too short I think.

There's quite a lot of overlap on a closed deployant - try one on and check but I'm 99% sure that you need regular length.

Agree with Roff. My wrists are just over 6.5 inches and I've never needed a short strap on any of my watches.
