Hi Guys & Gals,
How often do you get your Breitlings serviced as in the manual it states every 2 years for a regular service and every 5 years for a complete overhaul.

I still have my Tag Heuer F1 which was given to me 20 years ago and I have only had the battery changed with the seals. It still has not lost any time to my surprice when I compared it to my recently purchased Colt Quartz 2 with a Battery life of 8 years.

Also how do you guys clean your watch body/case as it seems to build up dirt after wearing especially on the back. Again in the manual it states regular cleaning by rinsing and brushing in clear water. And others say to use soap :?:

The general rule on service is when it can no longer maintain COSC specs - which is likely in the 5 - 7 year range. If you dive, especially in hte ocean, then it should be more frequent to ensure that the seals are maintained.

In terms of cleaning, plenty of threads on here, but soap / dish soap and water with a soft toothbrush is fine. Don't use toothpaste as it is too abrasive.
