Bought this watch back in 1988 at an AD in Hong Kong for about $850.
It has ran great over the years, never had a need for service except a battery change
ever 3 years or so.
Lately, (6 months) I noticed the hands stop worrking whenever I leave the
watch "parked" for a few days. (Don't wear it every day, only when working/flying)
The digital movement seem to work okay and to keep time.
Wondering if the little electric motor running the analog hands are just about
worn out? If so, how much to fix/replace?
Have not contacted the factory or a dealer yet, thought I would get some background
info in this fine board first in case the above is a common promblem.
Not sure how much money I want to spend on a 21 year watch....After the first $500.00
to fix the motor, something else may happen next year and here is another $.xxx.xx...
Thoughts..? Advice..?
