Post subject:  Sending Breitling in for service

New to this site and think it is great. Purchased my super ocean in Sept 07. Dealer reccomended that since I bought it in St. Johns and have a 2 year int. warranty, I should send it to them within that period for a check up. Nothing is wrong and works great. Do you suggest I do this.

Welcome to the forums. That sounds to me a lot like they want to make some money off of you!

Unless you are diving regularly then there is no problem waiting until the watch can't stay within COSC specs before getting it serviced - and that's going to be 5 years or so from new.

If you do dive, especially around St. Johns where I assume there is salt water exposure, it's worth getting the gaskets replaced.
