Hi. Long time reader, first time poster. My wife was kind enough to get me a Navitimer with a blue dial and numerals on a steel bracelet for our 10 year anniversary. Yesterday I took my son (8 months) to the mall to walk around and get out of the house. We live in Michigan. It's cold here. I actually hate malls. Anyways, while we were there I noticed something on my watch and I couldn't get it off. There happens to be a Breitling dealer at this mall so I took it in to them where they found moisture had gotten inside. My question is this: Should I take the watch back to the dealer I got it from to have it serviced, or should the dealer who actually saw the problem exists have it serviced? The watch is still under warranty. The moisture has since dried out so I can't show it to my original dealer. Thanks. |

If the dealer you showed it to is a Breitling dealer (which you said he was), then I'd take it to them. Either way it will have to go back to Breitling as a warranty job, but if the dealer saw the problem it will help back up your story to Breitling, especially if the moisture has now evaporated. Welcome aboard by the way. |

That was my thought process, too. That is what I'll do then, thanks for the reply and welcome. |

Welcome! I'd do just as Driver said. And of course, please be welcome to post pics of your beauty! One can never see too many Breitling pictures. ![]() |

Well, I dropped it off today. Apparently Breitling USA was on vacation and won't be open until tomorrow anyways. From my readings on this forum, I suspect I won't see my watch for quite a while. I'm kind of bummed about that but I'm glad that it is still under warranty. Does anyone know how far Breitling will go with this service? Will they just do the repair or will they do a cleaning and polishing while it's there? |

I got a call from the Breitling dealer this afternoon saying that my watch was ready for pick up. I only dropped it off just over 2 weeks ago and was told 6-8 weeks before I would see it again so I was pleasantly surprised to get that phone call so soon. I will be picking it up tomorrow so we shall see what they did with it. |

I picked my watch up today. It came back fully polished, with a "Breitling" polishing cloth and in a nice little case to keep it in.. Services performed: Quantity *Basic service for A23322....................................1 *Quality control..................................................1 *Pressure test....................................................1 *Movement adjustment.......................................1 *Crystal gasket "L"..............................................1 *Gasket O..........................................................1 *Push-piece gasket O..........................................4 *Flat bezel washer...............................................1 *Gasket O..........................................................1 Breitling did not show a cost for this service (because of warranty, I assume), but I can't imagine it would be cheap. So far I've been happy with the service (especially the quick turn around!!) and I hope that I don't have any further issues with the watch. Oh, the dealer ALMOST wanted to charge me for shipping/handling. I don't think that would have gone over very well with me. |

Good news, glad to hear it came much earlier than expected. |
