Today i have received my loupe eye glasses and i found something on my dial which i am not happy with...

Look at my dial please

Is this normal? If you look at the stopwatch seconds arrow, the gold is really f*cked up. I also saw it at the romanion numbers.

Please bear with me that the picture is not my dial, but from the internet, but it has the same as above picture which is also from a crosswind.

It's not "normal", but it looks to me like a bit of oxidation due to maybe a little bit of moisture in the case.

Judging by the pattern on the dial (as opposed to the later diagonal lines), I'd say that was quite an early Crosswind, so I'm guessing it may not have been serviced when it should and maybe a bit of moisture got in.

Thanks for the answer. I will get it serviced later this year, so hopefully they change the dial and the indicators.

yeah, i would think moisture too, but would suggest even humidity in air could cause this. Not sure if cases are purged with argon or some other intert gas to avoid that, but a bad seal etc, and it's all moot anyway.
Oxidation of a gold plated piece would indicate very poor plating (either coverage/consistency of thickness, or metal content - gold plating on such small internal pieces is generally 24k). Gold has no oxides (hence it's usefulness as a conductive connector coating for audio plugs, computer chips, and contacts etc.). Only way to get oxidation of a gold plated piece is from the substrate (whatever base material was gold plated). Of course, if the gold is less than 24k, the alloying agents have the potential to oxidize. The moisture can cause staining for sure, and that staining may well contain other oxidated metals or or other substances (calcium, etc) carried or disolved in the water that entered. As that water condensed or touched the hands, then subsequently dries, contained metals will oxidize and dissolved materials will precipitate out, leaving the stains and oxidation.
