Hi All - It's been a while since I've been on here. I had something really odd pop up on my circa 2004 Colt Quartz Chrono and wanted to get feedback from anybody who might have an idea what happened. It actually came back from Breitling service twice with the same issue and is on its way back again. When it came back the first time and I sent it back, I included the following info: Steps to replicate: 1. Actuate the stopwatch. 2. Stop it after a couple seconds. 3. Push the button to reset. While the stopwatch is resetting, the hands now snap back to 12:00 almost instantaneously. Correct operation of this model is for the hand to sweep around the dial, taking about 2 seconds for a full sweep, with a “ticking” motion. It is not working correctly. Someone familiar with this model will know exactly what I am describing. I’ve had a full service done a couple times in the past and it always came back working properly, with the 2 second full sweep. If anybody has any feedback about how they could have messed this up, please let me know. We did compare to a new quartz chrono, and the new ones apparently snap back. |

They might have changed the modul and forgot to tell you that. |

So, I am odd in that the smallest details mean a lot to me. Stuff that most people would never notice. For those few of you who care, here is what I found out after the jewelry store had a conversation with Breitling: Apparently the entire movement needed to be replaced in my watch. The newest version of the movement had a different stopwatch reset mechanism, and it's the new standard. No way to put it back the way it was. |

I suggested that in my previous post. They do it often with older quartz watches, but it's very unprofessional for not informing you. |
