I bought my Navitimer quite a few years ago, and took it for servicing 12/2018, paid a total of a bit over $800 with tax. At the time (no pun intended) the watch was losing time, maybe a few minutes a month. Now I am having the opposite problem, but it seems ridiculous, yesterday I noticed my watch was off by an HOUR (an hour fast). This morning, I wound the watch, reset the time about an hour ago, and I am already off by being 5 minutes fast. I usually walk a lot when I would go into the office, but now that I work from home and haven't been winding, I figure that maybe it needs a good winding. So I did about 30 turns, and its still 5 minutes fast only an hour after. Any idea? I took my watch to Tourneau for the repair, but the closest one near me that is open is about a 3 hour drive due to the pandemic. I still have the repair warranty until 12/2020 though. Thanks! |

It might well be magnetized, it is a cheap fix and worth a go before opening up the case.At the time (no pun intended) the watch was losing time, maybe a few minutes a month. There are plenty of demagnitisers for sale on Ebay and Amazon but I can't recommend any as I don't own one, I got my AD to do it for me last time I had an issue like this.I think/hope another member will be along with a purchase suggestion. Thank you!! I am surprised how cheap these are - between $10-$20, I'll definitely wait for someone to recommend one though. |
