Hi, folks!

I’ve been researching about the Breitling Superocean Chrono (ref. A13340). I found four differences that caught my attention.

First: The alignment of the word “Breitling” with the logo. In some cases, the logo is located exactly above the “T” (from the word Breitling), like pictures 4 and 5. In others, it's located between the “T” and the “L”, like pictures 2 and 3. Finally, it's located a little further to the left of the “T”, like picture 1 and 6. Signposted with the red line.

Second: The difference in the position of the word “Chronometer”. In some cases, the “C” appears to be slightly out of alignment with the rectangle of the date, being more to the left, like pictures 2 and 3. In others, it is more aligned with the rectangle, like pictures 1, 4 and 5. Signposted with the orange arrow.

Third: The difference on the day of week. At the picture 3 and 6, the "F" look very similar, but at the picture 4, it's different.

Fourth, and the last one: The difference in the writing “Breitling”, mainly the letter “R”. Signposted with the green line.

Can you tell me if, in the course of time, there was this changes in the Breitling Superocean (ref A13340)? Are these inconsistencies normal? Is this variation normal? Could you help me?

Thanks a lot!

Are you interested in this high level of detail to prove it's "real"? Just wondering...

No official changes were made at that time.
Looks like minor lack of qc.
All of them are real.

As stated above they’re all genuine. You’ve done well to spot those differences though I don’t think any of them detract from the appearance of the dial. The logo is, I believe, applied by hand so there is likely to be a variation in tolerance of positioning. The alignment of the text may be a different issue, for eg the set up of the printing equipment used in production. For what it’s worth, I have owned one of these for about 10 years and it’s been my favourite ‘go to’ watch and it’s rarely off my wrist. Mine is the black faced version but I’d happily shell out for one of each colour if funds allowed. I don’t think you’d regret buying one. Look for a full set with a good service history and you’ll be fine. It looks good on a bracelet and both rubber and leather straps.

@watchlover7 - I'm as picky as the next guy when it comes to QC discrepancies, but I must be honest even I'm struggling to see some of those..., and you're looking at them under colossal magnification. In real life I'm pretty sure you'd never see any of those, and TBH you can drive yourself mad looking for perfection in anything that's mass-produced.
